Profiles of ProgramsBelow you will find links to information about individual farm-to-college programs, with information about each program's history, items purchased, organizational structure and more. This information has been provided by an online survey sent to key contacts at each school by the Community Food Security Coalition, starting in fall 2004. Bon Appetit and Parkhurst Dining provided overall figures for the amount spent annually on local farm products for their college accounts (vs the individual schools listing this amount). Bon Appetit has over 60 colleges and universities where products are purchased from local farms. Many are listed on this page. Parkhurst Dining accounts where products are purchased from local farms includes at least 15 colleges and universities including Bucknell University, Capital University, Carnegie Mellon University, Cedar Crest College, Chatham College, Davis & Elkins College, John Carroll University, Maryland Institute College of Art, Philadelphia University, Robert Morris University, St. John's College, St. Francis University, St. Vincent College, Washington & Jefferson College, and Wheeling Jesuit University. If your school's program is not included here and you would like to add it, you can fill out the survey online. We will review the information and add it to this site as soon as possible. If you would like to make additions or corrections to the information about your school, please contact us. | |
